The Heat is On!
The heat is on literally and figuratively. It is over 100 degrees here in the Ozarks today with a relative humidity of 65 percent. Yikes! But, things are also heating up with blanket squares. I have had three deliveries in as many days! It is ever so exciting. Now, I feel like there are enough squares to begin sorting into blankets. Can you believe it?
This enormous stack has been shipped to us from Lisa and her wonderful Central Ohio Binky Patrol. The Central Ohio Binky Patrol is chapter of the Binky Patrol Comforting Covers for Kids. Lisa is the Ohio chapter coordinator. Woohoo for Lisa! Check out the links here to learn more about this organization and Lisa's wonderful hard work and dedication. Lisa is a blogger as well. Check out her writing at Life Full of Laughter. We thank you Lisa and all the amazing volunteers of the Central Ohio Binky Patrol. You can find Lisa on Ravelry by seeking out centralohiobinky.
Here is what I found inside Lisa's huge box.
What I found inside Lisa's box was a mountain of blanket squares. Yippee! There were pastels soft and calm cotton squares.
Some squares were knit and others crochet.
Some were crazy bright and happy.
And, I do mean crazy bright! Perfect for kids.
There were many different sizes and colors.
Look! Halloween blocks!
There were colors and patterns to appeal to so many recipients.
Here I tried to get hem all in one shot.
And here. How many are there you ask? Drum roll please....125!
Oh my goodness and bless my stars! This brings our total to 156. Yes! And, watch for more posts as I still have two more boxes to open. This is truly an amazing journey.
How can you help? There are so many ways. You can knit or crochet squares, sponsor a giveaway to inspire others to participate or donate yarn to help connect our sweet squares. Contact me if you have any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
